About Us
Soperton Farm Center’s roots in the community run deep for nearly 40 years under various family ownerships. In 2022, the Tate family invested in the store to continue the tradition of serving Soperton and surrounding communities with agricultural, automotive, and hardware products/services. The Tate Family has come to fall in love with the community and considers Soperton their adopted home.
Lane DeFee manages the store. Lane and his wife, Jane DeFee, have lived in Soperton for decades, raising two wonderful children in the community. Lane is a registered forester and retired from the Georgia Forestry Commission to take over the management of Soperton Farm Center.
